D&D Services: Health and Safety Rack Inspection in British Columbia

Obtaining a Permit
Obtaining permits for racking as well as health and safety checks on racking and mezzanines can be a difficult process. That’s why the professionals at D&D Services are here to help. Contact D&D Services today for a consultation. We also provide scheduled monthly or yearly visits, so that you can keep up-to-date with industry standards.
In general, permits are required if racking or shelving exceeds 8' - 0" in height, while all mezzanines need permits. Steps to obtaining a permit include:
1.) An initial site visit to obtain the correct measurements
2.) Preparing the required drawings and schedules with all the details for the engineer to seal
3.) Delivering the drawings and documents to you, so that you may apply for a building permit
4.) Once the building permit and installation is complete, we perform a final site check so that the engineers can supply you with a Schedule C-B
